An invitation from the Department of Communities, Sport and Recreation to attend a Coach Network Forum to be held in Glenorchy on 24 June 2021. There is no cost to attend and I encourage all coaches to consider attending if possible.

Welcome to our Coach Network Forum

Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR) is pleased to announce the first of its of Coach Network Forums for 2021.

After the disruption of COVID-19 during 2020, CSR is promoting learning opportunities for state sporting organisation coaching directors, development officers and community coaches in Tasmania to access guest presenters delivering workshops across a range of key sporting topics.

The Coach Network Forum format will see two guest presenters deliver specific themes to assist promote a vibrant and inclusive sport and recreation sector in Tasmania.

This months guest speakers are;

John Hayes, Coaching Cohort

John is an experienced coach developer who currently owns and operates Coaching Cohort. He has a focus on developing positive sports experiences through coaching, consultation, facilitation and program development. John has extensive coaching experience through previous roles with Cricket Victoria, Cricket Tasmania, Tenpin Bowling Australia and the Melbourne Stars.

Topic: Inclusion and coaching inclusively

Bond Larkin, CEO, Gymsports Management

Bond is a former gymnast and an experienced sports coach and administrator with 25 years experience working in gymnastics.
She is a nationally recognised coach educator delivering training and education to gymnastics coaches.

Topic: Child Safety in sport
